    Then we add vinegar

    CH3COOH + Ca(OH)2 —- Ca + and CH3COO- and H2O
    this is neutralization, pH = 7 but this is hard to get, there is always extra acetic acid (from vinegar) so…

    There is excess of CH3COOH
    CH3COOH == CH3COO- and H+

    High concentration of H+, this is acidic
    pH is less than 7 so it is now invisible

    Then we add NaOH:
    NaOH + CH3COOH = Na+ and CH3COO- and H2O

    Since NaOH is in excess:
    NaOH is basic
    pH is more than 7, expec pink color
